A former athiest, I had a deep and personal experience of Jesus Christ on 9/11/2001, and have been writing music from a Christian perspective ever since. I currently serve as Worship Leader for a front-line church in South Florida. I would like very much to connect with other composers, arrangers and performers, and hope someday to have an opportunity to assemble, or join, a full-time music ministry made up of diverse Christian artists with whom I can collaborate

Do you play live?
I play live in my church, covering a variety of instruments and vocal parts. I have also begun to do public performances of original material in conjunction with speaking (testimony) opportunities. Sort of an Unplugged / Storytellers approach, with scripture and illustrations from my life.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Artists can now connect with each other and with listeners without any "middleman". I think this is wonderful!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
My initial reaction includes the phrase "hell freezes over", as "major" to me implies "profit motivated", which pretty much always sucks the life right out of anything. Besides, I don't think I have anywhere near enough JPM (Jesus per minute) hits to qualify! I cannot imagine any "major" label (even the most liberal Christian ones) that would support release of some of my most valuable material, which deals with subject matter and perspectives that are far from the "skipping down the haleluljah trail with a smiling Wonder-Bread Jesus and laughing woodland critters". One of my recent songs, "Nevermore", deals with a depressed Christian's comtemplation of suicide ... any "majors" interested in that one? Sorry ... off on a rant there ... getting off the soapbox now!
Band History:
I worked in the secular blues, blues based rock and alternative music industry for a period in my "BC" days. I started as a B-3 player, then eventually became reasonably competent on guitar, bass, drums and percussion , as well as developing front and backing vocal abilty. I had the opportunity to live and work in the UK and Europe, as well as touring experience in Africa, the Middle East and USA. By the time I encountered Jesus Christ I had long since abandoned any musical pursuits, having given myself over wholly to heroin addiction (suicide on the installment plan).
Your influences?
I have never heard a piece of music that did not in some way influence me.
Favorite spot?
Sharm el Sheik (Red Sea ~ Sinai Peninsula)
Equipment used:
I currently own 1 guitar (pawn shop special) and a laptop (generic). Our church meets in a community center, which has a broken down piano I also use for an hour or so each week. All recordings posted here are just me using a "freeware" program to record acoustio/vocals, which I do in one take and post without reviewing or re-recording. This is about as raw as it gets. I figure that any songs that have real value will connect with listeners in spite of errors, poor sound quality, lack of production, etc. This is by no means an excuse for sloppiness, rather it is a conviction that the structure and lyric content of this material will rise above any technical deficiencies.
Anything else...?
"And I will restore unto you the years that the locusts have eaten ... my great army which I sent among you." Joel 2:25
