Hello Luteman,
just discovered this site.
I enjoyed your playing.
Are you a member of "The Lute Society"
I too enjoy Dowland and attempt to play.
I would be interested to know how you became interested in this wonderful music.
Do you like Bream's interpretations?
Hope you will reply.
Regards...Paul..
Hi Luteperson,
I like your site. I have never touched a lute in my life but I like lute music.
I am slow at knowing instrumental pieces and it is nice to have a listen to stuff I should know but do not. I understand music with lyrics better. I have CD by the pros but SoundClick has some nice tries by different folks. I have tried to get lute stuff on one of my stations but my music goes too wide. I put your - Lachrimae, with another - Flow my tears.
My newest song is me trying to play a Iohn Dowland song from his 1597 booke and I am not trying for a hit here. I put a Parental advisory on this one but I did not get as far as to the offensive second verse where it says, if I can not sleep soon, I will kill myself and sleep forever. That notwithstanding it has stood up an one of the greatest songs ever written in the English language after 400 years as has your - Lachrimae. But can it stand after what I did to it? I put in Chamber Music which may be stretching it a bit but this really
