Heaven's Hammer
NEWS
Heaven's Hammer is working on getting a new album out for Christmas. While "Odin's Rage" is okay, we're scrapping most of that album in favor of our new sounds. We'll keep you posted.

This is the third and final group that Wallstone Entertainment created for "We Da Sheeple." Basically, anything that The Texas Dukes and the Mt. Vernon Synthetic Orchestra doesn't do gets labeled by us. From Rock to New Age to Funky, it's covered. We can make the sounds for Rap, but it doesn't sound right to us. Sorry, folks.
Why this name?
That's a good question. You know Thor of Viking legend? He had this hammer, and when it gets lost in the heavens, he has to find it.... Heaven's Hammer.....
Do you play live?
No live playing -- this is strictly a synth group, just like the other two. However, we may do a publicity event next year in Mt. Vernon or possibly St. Louis.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet opens vast doorways for performers and artist alike to offer their wares, and to have people sample their work. As for the MP3, it's a great standard for musical compression, although AAC/MP4 sounds a bit better, and offers surround sound without funky CODECs. However, Ogg Vorbis sounds a lot better than either, in my honest opinion.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Nah - makes no sense. What we do, anybody with a musical ear and some tech skills can do. This means the studios just don't need us.
Your influences?
Oh, boy - great question. Everything from Billy Idol to Vangelis. You name it, we can probably do it.
Favorite spot?
Denver in the Fall.....
Equipment used:
2.6 GHz Quad-Core AMD, Cakewalk, Audacity, Nero WaveEditor, and OTS Turntables. We bought an actual keyboard synth (Casio CTK-720), but the Cakewalk versions are much better than the Casio's. Be that as it may, having a synth in-house makes it easier to determine if a given arrangement will work, and we can play with different instrumentations using Cakewalk before we finalize the piece.
Anything else...?
There are three synthetic bands Wallstone Entertainment has. These are The Texas Dukes, The Mt. Vernon Synthetic Orchestra, and Heaven's Hammer. All three are now on Soundclick.
