play lo-fi play hi-fi  (Nobel Prize) For The Furtherment of Wharr
Introduction to my band? It's just me, I'm afraid. Although I do think I manage to make a respectable amount of noise for one man.

Not always pleasant to listen to, but entertaining to make.
Why this name?
It's been my Internet screen-name for a long time, and apparently (don't hold me to this) it means fulfilment in Hindi.
Do you play live?
I haven't performed live for anyone outside of a couple of friends at the moment. I doubt there's much of a market for it.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the Internet is doing a good job of kicking the industry into touch. Generally the music industry is quite elitist, so it's nice to see people like myself getting a chance to make a fool of themselves.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If they'd have me, yeah.
Band History:
Most of what you hear here grew from a track I recorded some time ago (Earplugs) in which I deliberately tried to make as much noise as possible. That grew into attempting to create music which makes people as uncomfortable as possible.
Your influences?
I listen to a huge amount of stuff, really, ranging from bands like Radiohead and REM to Aphex Twin and Monolake.

Most of what you hear here is inspired by one or two Digital Hardcore (www.digitalhardcore.com) artists, although I consciously took a different, softer (and analogue) approach to making the sounds.
Favorite spot?
No idea whatsoever.
Equipment used:
A bizarre mismatch, really. All of the sounds are created on the following:

Guitar:
- JHS Vintage Les Paul copy

Effects:
- Ebow Plus
- Digitech Whammy
- Dunlop GCB-95 Crybaby
- Boss PH-3 Phase Shifter
- Marshall Vibratrem
- Arion SMM-1 Metal Master
- EAX (reverb)

Misc:
- "Pencil type" tyre pressure guage
- Draper phillips head screwdriver
Anything else...?
Feel free to donate equipment to the cause. It would be much appreciated.
