Pheonix Rising
NEWS
Due to the difficulty of continuing a successful intercontinental musical endeavor, Jordana and Ian have parted ways amicably. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful fans for the incredible ride this past year has been, and for the awesome achievement of #1 on the Soundclick.com pop/rock charts.
We're both still making music! Check out Jordana's new eclectic pop/rock band, Dawn's Darkness, and Ian's solo blues project. Happy New Year to you all... and hope you had a wonderful holiday season.

Pheonix Rising consisted of singer-songwriter Jordana Kocher of Portland, Oregon and Australian blues guitarist/vocalist Ian Woods. They collaborated solely via the Internet and released four songs over the course of about a year, the first of which climbed the Soundclick.com pop/rock charts rapidly. "Don't Let Go" became #1 out of about 13,000 songs there on New Year's Day, 2007 and continues to be popular even today.
However, the largest ocean in the world proved to be a bigger obstacle than they imagined, causing scheduling issues, holdups in producing and releasing new songs, and too great an expense to allow for live performance. The duo decided to part ways amicably in August 2007, and refocused on their own musical projects.
Jordana formed an eclectic indie pop/rock band in the Portland area called Dawn's Darkness, and they just released their first demo... give it a listen! This was Jordana's first time not only writing songs, but putting together a full band, producing, recording and mixing the songs down. She'd love to get feedback and opinions.

Ian Woods, AKA Woodsy, continues to record amazing blues covers and has plans to release a solo blues cover album in the near future. Listen to his blues covers and watch his videos here!

Thank you to all the fans that have supported us during the past year. You've meant the world to us... and we hope you continue to enjoy our music.
