Corey C is an independent musician, and drum instructor, who writes music and plays the drums. He currently lives in upstate NY, and teaches drum & percussion lessons.

Amidst his busy schedule, he still finds times to play gigs, and write and record original music.

His drumming can be heard in any style from jazz, rock, hip-hop, world, and in between. He has been studying and performing since he was a child and has been fortunate to work in many diverse genres with artists such as Marc Seales, Don Grusin, Edan, Emanuel Agbeli, Abu Bakari, Rick Montalbano, Joe Magnarelli and Jeff Palmer.

Corey is an 01' graduate of Berklee College of Music, and has a Masters degree in Jazz & Commercial Drumset Performance, as well as a B.A./B.M. in Jazz Studies, and a Professional Diploma in West African percussion. An accomplished performer, educator and composer, he has been fortunate to work in many diverse genres with artists such as Marc Seales, Don Grusin, Edan, Emanuel Agbeli, Abu Bakari, Rick Montalbano, Joe Magnarelli and Jeff Palmer.. In addition to his studies, he has traveled to Ghana, West Africa, and studied traditional drumming at the Dagbe Cultural Institute.

Corey is on faculty at Herkimer Community College, the YMCA Center for the Creative Arts, Mohawk Valley Community College, Rome Art Community Center, and is active in local community centers in Oneida and Canastota NY. He teaches a variety of courses on improvisation, composition, drumset & percussion pedagogy, world percussion & more.
