The boys met at a very early age in early summer 2005 at the Borough Arms in Gateshead, although it has to be said that two of the boys were already playing together by then.
Why this name?
It followed quite naturally from the name of the pub.
Do you play live?
Every week, sometimes twice a week, or occasionally, even three times a week.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It means a lot of independent artists (like us) can 'release' songs, be heard on a worldwide scale and, in future maybe, sell recordings.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Tomorrow, in fact maybe today with a fast lawyer.
Band History:
The band play at the Borough Arms (of course) and the Green Mandolin mostly as well as the Soundroom. There have been occasional forays to the Rising Sun at Sunniside too.
Your influences?
Everyone from the late 50's onwards has been an influence.
Favorite spot?
Favourite spot could be the Boro! (Or, to give it it's full name, the Borough Arms, in Gateshead-on-Tyne).
Equipment used:
Guitars (electric and acoustic), mandolin, harmonica, drums.
Anything else...?
There's a lot more to come from this band.
The boys are very grateful to all listeners for pushing their debut single 'Hey Good Lookin'' into the Soundclick Country Covers top 20 in it's first week of release and eventually reaching the dizzy heights of No 2, which we're all pretty pleased about and especially grateful for.
