play lo-fi play hi-fi  Love's So Near
I've been creating music since the early eighties, but life took over for a while and I raised my family, worked my job, and all that fun stuff. Now, I've got my music back! I hope you like what you hear. I'll be posting more soon!
Do you play live?
I'm working on a band right now. It's me and another guitarist/songwriter, and we have a bass player, and currently working on a drummer. We seem to be gravitating toward some unique original music, sort of Neil Young meets Glen Tipton. I think it's pretty good, and as soon as we can put together a tight set, we'll start playing live.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, obviously, it has created access for guys like me on a level that was impossible only a few years ago. I'm not sure it will make a huge dent in the music "industry", but it certainly has to have some influence, some discovering of new talent that would not have been likely before.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure I would. That's not really my aspiration at this point but if something came along....
Band History:
I played lead guitar in a Heavy Metal band in Everett Washington in the early eighties called Ghost Child. Since then I have continued to write my own, singing and playing whenever I get a chance, at parties, at church, and wherever.
Your influences?
Pretty wide ranging. In the seventies it was The Who (Who's next), Boston, Nazareth, Frampton, Styx, Steve Miller, The Eagles, Poco, Al Stewart, Bob Seger.....In the eighties it was Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Def Leppard, Metallica, Accept....In the nineties it was Dave Matthews, Yanni, a bit of country... pretty wierd, I know. Now I have reverted back to my tastes of the seventies and eighties.
Favorite spot?
Living in Washington we have great access to both mountains and sea and I love them both. And for city life, Seattle is gorgeous.
Equipment used:
Gibson Les Paul Standard, Marshall combo amp, Fender combo amp, Pod XT Live guitar processor, Carvin acoustic guitar, Cakewalk Home Studio software.
Anything else...?
My next song is called "Blue Sky and Rain", and then maybe some heavier instrumentals.
