This project is a solo effort. I write the music that God blesses me with. Right now this project is in it's infancy. As time progresses there will be more complex music and themes on this page.
Why this name?
The Revelator is what some people call John the disciple of Jesus Christ. He was the author of "Revelations". Since my name is also John I chose to name this project The Revelator.
Do you play live?
For now this project is only a studio project.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Mp3's are just part of the shift in the current age of music. Now we the artists can build near professional quality studios in our homes for a reasonable price. Giving us the ability to have complete control of our art. I think we are greatly blessed because this.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would like to be as independent as possible.
Band History:
My history as a musician is complex. I've been playing guitar for over 10 years and recording and mixing music for at least 5 of those years. I love all forms of music but Metal is my foundation.
Your influences?
Living Sacrifice, Extol, Meshuggah, John Michael Talbot.
Equipment used:
I use mostly Ibanez 7 strings, but I recently obtained an Ibanez RGA8 8 string guitar which I enjoy playing very much. The extra string makes the new instrument so versatile and I feel closer to God because It's almost like I have no limits on my creativity.
I use Line 6 Amps and effects, Cubase, Toontrack products ( Big thanks to Toontrack), and Ozone 4 VST mastering plugin.

Anything else...?
I am here to be a servant to God the Father and our Savior Jesus Christ. If any of you have questions about my Faith please ask anything at any time. I would enjoy talking about it with you.
If you have any guitar, mixing or mastering questions I will glady give any advice I have to offer.
