The filth and the fury, the fear and the pain, this world´s madness, late night poetry, intermingle into a strange and singular feast of words and sounds. New York's "new wave" punk scene (TELEVISION, TALKING HEADS, PATTI SMITH, RICHARD HELL, ETC...), seventies psychedelic rock, The Fall, la chanson Française (notably French singer/songwriter and provocateur notorious Serge Gainsbourg), and tango music have considerably inspired MEGAPHONE OU LA MORT´s sound and vision. MEGAPHONE OU LA MORT are constantly in search of excitement, not of lysergic ecstasy or transcendental meditation. Personnel: English-French JOHN MARTÍNEZ on vocals, DIDAK on Guitar, VERBAL on Drums (both Argentineans and part of various bands such as LOS SUBTERRANEOS or LA ROSA DE COBRE, in Buenos Aires ); and, pertaining to Valencia, we have ALBERTO ROSELLO on Guitar, FER MARTI on Bass, and ALFREDO SORLI, Theremin and trumpet.

Los recuerdos de MEGAPHONE OU LA MORT están escritos sobre la marcha, cada una de sus canciones no son sino capítulos de una obra total que conforma una comedia colosal del mundo de la acción furiosa, de la demencia y también de la mansa dulzura visto a través de la cerradura de su ojo. Sus integrantes de estética corriente despliegan un rock independiente alternativo que persigue aquella línea iniciada a mediados de los setenta por artistas como TELEVISION, TALKING HEADS, PATTI SMITH, RICHARD HELL, ETC..., sin olvidar la psicodélica sesentera, la chanson francesa o el tango. Sus guitarras desarrollan sonidos que nos pasean por diferentes estados de ánimo, de lo envolvente a lo estridente, sobre una línea melodiosa de bajo, una batería solida, los estragos del delirium tremens de un theremin (diamante telepático) y una voz que narra minuciosamente el vacío luminoso de su propia confusión paranoica. MEGAPHONE OU LA MORT esta conformado por el Anglo-Francés JOHN MARTINEZ en voz, DIDAK en Guitarra, VERBAL en Batería, (ambos Argentinos e integrantes de formaciones como LOS SUBTERRANEOS y LA ROSA DE COBRE, en Buenos Aires), y los Valencianos ALBERTO ROSELLO en guitarra, FER MARTI en Bajo y ALFREDO SORLI, Theremin y trompeta.

Theórie: La musique est notre manière de lutter. Lutter contre l´apathie de notre société, la folie inhérente à la vie réelle, et le ronronnement / l´indifférence de nos contemporains. La musique: Quelque chose de débridé, de rythmique, hors des gonds, poétique et urbain. Influences: MEGAPHONE OU LA MORT aime la "nouvelle vague" de rock New-yorkais (TELEVISION, TALKING HEADS, PATTI SMITH, RICHARD HELL, ETC...), la chanson Française, le Tango,The Fall et le rock psychédélique des années 70.
