Here's the deal; I write these songs, then I record them, then I ask people to listen to them. I've been playing music for durn near 40 years, and learned to play an instrument about 20 years ago. During the late 80's and through the 90's I played in a few cover bands in northern Michigan. Cover-Up, Rock Candy, Jet Plane Jane, Listen Mister, Chill Street. I got exposed to playing a wide variety of songs and styles, which I think helps my writing a little bit now. I record my music in my quite modest home studio which I have dubbed "Rocket Studio". It looks like a studio, because I have a few racks full of impressive audio gear, although I don't use any of it for recording. Most of the songs are all recorded, mixed, and mastered in the box (that means on the computer), with the only input being a couple of guitars, and a condenser microphone. Anyhow, I hope you like these songs (when I actually post them here in a little while.)
Why this name?
I am one, so it seemed fitting.
Do you play live?
I used to, but not any more. I both liked it, and hated it. There were lots of special moments.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changed it for the better and for the worse at the same time. Music has become valueless to some degree due to the rapid exchange of 'free' music. Technology, on the other hand, has changed things for the better, allowing a guy like me to be able to record songs like these by himself, in a modest home studio.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I'd like to sell a song or two someday. That would be cool enough....
