Why this name?
CONCEPT HISTORY
Image - the figure with the mask has been around for a while. I guess one could say the image was born when I first put on the mask... It was as if I had become someone else. It was nice. It got a lot of attention... People wanted to know "why" and what it was all about. I guess even in Africa, where masks are a part of heritage, and rather commonplace, people didn't understand what a mask was doing at parties and rock shows (on stage dancing and singing)... image once got invited to be the looming and caped figure behind a heavy metal band, as they played... One of the members thought it might be cool to have the masked image roaming around back stage as they played... and image danced... even freaked out a bit... and was so "drained" afterwards that it lay down on the floor in a public toilet. That's something one doesn't usually do in Africa. We're talking PUBLIC toilet in Africa!
Then image surfaced again, this time in England, where it won FIRST prize in a fancy dress competition... The CAPE really won. Made from silk lining (used to line clothes). For example, when image walked down the circular tower stairs of the school where the fancy dress ball was held, the cape totally engulfed the stairs! Girls walking upwards screamed in fright, huddling against each other, people wanted pictures with the image... That was when image really took on a life of it's own... and it was born famous! -
Mistakes will be made, however... and while dancing, a capsule of synthetic blood leaking from it's mouth was a little too much for some people to take (some backed away in disgust)... Still... It was a learning experience... and if anything, went to show image was versatile... and not to everyone's taste all the time... but that won't happen again...
Image is not about scaring children. Image wants to be loved by one and all... but we know there will always be those that are envious... and spiteful in the face of success... but so long as those who are envious realise it's their problem and not that of image we'll be fine.
Just get over it!

Makes music and sounds more readily available to the masses (everyone).
Even in the remotest parts of the world, people are accessing computers at libraries and watering holes, filling CDs and Zip disks with sounds... and listening to them in the privacy of their own homes... be it hut or villa.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
... probably at some point. I hate hearing the horror stories of artists selling their soul, then having to fight legal battles to get their "creativity" back. Also sucks: Crooked managers leaving an artist at the mercy of the IRS or in terrible debt. I hate crooks.
Also, presently, I feel my music should be "private". It's MINE. MINE to listen to, MINE to twist and change as I see fit. It's not COMPARED to anything, it just IS... but at some point I will want to share it with others on the planet, so they, too can enjoy it in "private".

Personal History (The man behind the mask)
First, I'd like to confirm I'm not schitzo, not a split personality or anything. No history of mental illness in the family either. Image is a concept that came along to save me, partly because I don't want to be famous (been there, did that (in a small country in Africa)).
Fame puts a terrible strain on anyone and everyone around you... and there is so much expected of you. We are talking UNREASONABLY much. Hence "image" has come to take that side away. Image is something you/I/anyone can idolise as much (or as little) as they want. Image will never let you down, because it is pure creativity and only comes around when creativity is happening... Yes, not unlike Santa at Christmas. Santa's not always there, is he? He comes, gives you a present and departs... You never have to put up with him, or help him out (as much as you'd like to, or not).
Image is like the ultimate superhero. An idol that will always be there. I am not really image myself, image is a figment of our collective imagination. Image is what we make of it. We can make it GREAT or we can make it not so great. Either way, it's here.

Although I am a heterosexual male, I cannot say "he" when refering to image because that limits it. It doesn't want to be branded as anything... Hence it is everything... One thing it will never be, however, is "nothing". Creativity wants to come out and become something... and it's here for you to share!
Again, I don't mind if image does become famous... because it deserves to be and, to an extent, it already is. I will act the role when it is needed (and have in the past) but I want my SELF to be left alone, in peace, to live a peaceful life and die a peaceful death. - Having said that, I am not ill, or dying, so it has nothing to do with some fatal urge to do something before I die... No, no. Like life itself, image is a result of a combination of all kinds of things...
Like what? Well image can take on an image of - fun, sorrow, creativity, anger, depression, indolence, sex, bliss, orgasms, outrage, love, hatred, irritation, phobias, complexes, adoration, obsessions, satisfaction, sentimentality...
I have a creative mind and I'd like you to enjoy the creativity I present without it really reflecting on my person, which really has nothing to do with it, anyway! - It is image you should focus on, not me...
