I sing at alot of different places, mainly for fun, but now that im a college student i have to make my money just like everybody else. I used to sing throughout my high school years: on the announcements, homecoming footballs games, basketball games, and many other events for school. As far as big events, I sung at Hoopfest 2006, its a annual basketball tournament that we have in Milwaukee, where several high schools with good basketball creditials play in a huge arena, sometimes on t.v. I sung at The U.S. Cellular Arena in front of about 20,000 people, singing the Star Spangled Banner. I sung at a number of weddings, funerals, and graduations. Im used to singing in large groups and small groups make me nervous.lol
My musical influences are: Shirley Murdock, KeKe Wyatt, Stephanie Mills, Brian Mcknight, and Donny Hathaway.
I use a microphone, maybe a piano-player, a instruments and/or maybe nothing depending on if the person I am singing for wants me to sing accapella or not.
I sing to have fun. The music i write mainly is the story of my life. I write about everyday events and things women or men my age go through. My goal with my music is to have a good effect on someones life, musically. Think about it, without music, life would be boring, dead silence. So I plan to put a feeling of relief in my music, because lifes so difficult all ready, why be so harsh...I basically want the world to love my music and I want my music to sink in the skin of its listeners and to make a change in the world.
