Why this name?
Wes B is short for "Westbank." The "westside" of New Orleans.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think that they both have drastically changed the game. There is tons of information available on the web, as well as music.
Fans can just be randomly surfing the internet and have a song pop in their head that they probably haven't heard in awhile and with the internet, they can go to that artist website and listen to it. They also now get the opportunity to check out the new music that their favorite artist is working on without having to watch the music channel all day or wait for that artist to go on tour.
