Rapacious.. Two MCs from Bolwing Green, KY.
Why this name?
The first attempt we had at making a band was called Caged.. We recorded one song that was kind of catchy but not much to be proud of and we ended up spliting up Caged. Later Scott was producing stuff for TR's solo stuff and they just decided to try to make another band. However they couldn't be Caged because of it's similarites to the popular MC Cage. So we were trying to think of a name...
We tried to think of things that would represent our style. Our style is pretty agressive - both of us have been bullied our whole lives. So when we're on the mic - we take out our anger with mics. We're fierce, aggresive. So one day when we were on the phone, Scott looked up synonyms for agressive. One of the words - Rapacious caught Scott's eye. He looked it up and it said:
ra·pa·cious ( P ) Pronunciation Key (r-pshs)
adj.
1) Taking by force; plundering.
2) Greedy; ravenous.
3) Subsisting on live prey.
They both thought it stuck and liked how it also discribed their style of music. RAPacious. They thought it represented them well because:
1. They're going to take people by force. They're fierce and agressive towards the world.
2. We're doing this for us. Not doing it for anyone else. Call it greedy if you must - but we're doing it for our revenge.
3. We liked the third definition because it sounds kinda twisted. We're existing on live prey.

Do you play live?
Scott has rocked a couple of talent shows. They both do rap battles after school and just rap when asked. We'll begin looking for gigs once he have more songs.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's pretty awesome. You can use your computer as a home studio. We have people bumping our song that we just made in our house. It's tight, has helped people get their name out a lot easier than anything else.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure, as long as we had creative power. If we wouldn't be pressured into doing a certain style or rapping about a certain thing. Then of course.
