The name workz, Mr Workz and im a grime / hip hop m.c and also a producer. I started scratching at the pen and pad when i was about 15 with a crew called kayos and recorded about 20 hours of unedited sets with them before moving on to become a solo m.c. Now at the ripe old age of 18 im itching to burst back onto the scene!
Why this name?
Mr workz is kinda like a formal name and i think it just come to me because i wanted to be serious about my music so i think it just represents that.
Do you play live?
I havent done a live gig at a major venue yet but things are in the pipeline after the release of Roll or doal definatly!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think niche markets like grime have benifitted because before artists couldnt really spread the word as easily.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Dont see why not as long as i called the shots.
