Why this name?
surname of the lead character from a short story called "the woman in black" by susan hill (the name was taken from the tv adaptation rather than the original book as it was the adaptaion that affected us the most.)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
makes it easy to access and sample music that you probably would never hear from just visiting record shops and listening to the radio, therefore helping people realise that there is much more to music than some image focused, poor quality, fake pop, trash which semms to have been around for far too long. It's also great for unsigned artists to promote their material in a cheap and simple way.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
depends on what the contract says and also on the mission statement of the company.
Your influences?
...in no particular order - boards of canada, lemon jelly, mogwai, godspeed you black emperor, four tet, granddady, red house painters, dEUS, massive attack, calexico, martin grech, mercury rev many many more...
