We're a guitar-vocal duo playing original songs and covers.

Adelaide Soccio sings most of the vocals and Rick Alexander plays guitar and sings some vocals.

We've been playing together for about two and half years now and we released our first CD, "These Places" in early December 2006.
Why this name?
We'd been experimenting with a few names ending with "Blue". Adelaide thought of Zanthii, modified from Xanthe which is Greek for yellow.
Do you play live?
We've been playing live for about two years. It's the best aspect of playing music!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We think it's great the way it allows independents like us to distribute our music easily.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We're happy to share our music via our CD, live gigs and the internet. Click here for our Myspace page!

Band History:
We've both been into music for years. We both worked at the same place and in early 2004 we decided to try playing a few of Rick's songs. We thought the combination worked so we decided to start recording them. Since then we've been recording our CD and playing live.
Your influences?
Adelaide loves the New Zealand singer Bic Runga and is into music of all genres from Cosi Fan Tutte to Alice In Chains! Rick is into the Beatles, the Finn Brothers, instrumental guitar like Tommy Emmanuel. (Anything melodic!)
Favorite spot?
The sea inspires Rick. He spent a lot of time body surfing years ago and the song These Places describes the feel of that.
Adelaides from North East Victoria originally so is more drawn to the rivers and the bush!
Anything else...?
We have 5 songs here. Friends added some great contributions on three of the tracks. On "You and Me" Jarek Czechowicz plays the acoustic guitar solo. Mary Knights-Rutten plays cello on "No One Has Seen Her" and Dennis Mills plays electric guitar on "Life".
