Pass-Werdz is a solo artist. He is an emcee that has been on the mic for about a year now, but has been in the rhyming for about 1½ years. He is becoming one of the top HipHop artists on the net. Why this name?
Well, one day I was registering a new screen name with AOL Instant Messanger and I had to enter a password. When I glanced at it, I saw pass word. That made me think, "Well, I pass words when I rhyme and I'm a very complicated lyrical person. Which is like they need a password to get break into the metaphors I display. So with a little mixing around, I came up with Pass-Werdz.
Do you play live?
I have done little events around my area. Nothing big, but I'm starting to get more and more recognition around my parts. It's fun and exciting. I get a little nervous about messing up but once I get started there's no stopping me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, I feel that the internet has made people more aware of the HipHop scene. People use to think that Rap was Hip Hop. Now people are starting to realize Hip Hop is a lifestyle not something you do.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, I believe I would just so I can get more publicity. This will allow me to inspire the world on that anyone can complete their goals if they just work at it.
