Band History:
In this highly combustible parody of a society there was a woman who was from the old country (no particular old country, but just the old country). She had two twin boys- one whom she named Tree and the other Finger. The two brothers grew up hearing the stories that the universe was founded on- the legends, the myths, the tall tales, of The Mystery. One day the brothers decided to leave the combustible parody of a society and find another city... the city from the old country where there mother's stories had originated. So they set off on a journey. They came to town- the sign said it was Asphalt Memesis. It was here that they first heard the sounds of memetic groove. They studied under a master called- DJ Memesis. After years of study they parted ways and left Asphalt Memesis still in search of The City of the Sacred Stories and The Mystery. Years went by and finially they made it to The City of Sacred Stories and The Mystery where they heard the stories their mother had told them and then learned many more. They sat in the presence of The Mystery and shared the sounds from The Asphalt Memesis. The Great Mystery looked at the brother and shared a new story with them- the tale of taking music from The City out to the highly combustible parody of a society and to teach people the stories. And so The Great Mystery dubbed the brothers TreeFinger- the teachers of the stories from The City. And so TreeFinger went back into the highly combustible parody of a society where they created ambient music- reminiscent of the asphalt memesis. This music was played in sacred places, clubs and pubs, worshiping The Great Mystery from The City of Sacred Stories. Our music is for personal enjoyment, spiritual reflection, alternative worship experiences, or any other reason you might want to, in some way, connect the ancient ways of artful living with the bland mundane routines of life today.
