If a band chooses a name to fit its very definition, then Gobi is a name that is truly defined only by the sound and feeling of its music. With influences that range the entire musical spectrum, Gobi combines hypnotic melodies with up-tempo beats, laced with rhythmatic vocals, driving percussion, and guitar arrangments that can only be defined by their sound. Gobi, uses influences to pick through genres culminating a voice in music where breakbeats, guitar solos, and organic drums control the audience like a DJ, turning music into a force that moves the entire body.

Formed in San Marcos, TX, Gobi is three peice that includes guitar and bass work by Justin Dillon, percussion by Mathew Dunn, and Vocals by Phil Arciniega. Currrently Gobi is in the studio working on their first full length album which should be compleated and mastered in early '07.
