“As It Is” is an alter-ego of songwriter/musician Dave S. - another creative fanatic who can't stop thinking up fresh ideas and can't keep from pushing the record button nor put down the pencil.

Some of Dave’s Rock material is on indie labels. Other Country, Rock, and Pop songs of his are published as well, and are being shopped to major labels and artists. He writes Alternative, MOR/Adult Contemporary, R&B/Dance, and other genres as well. Some of his instrumentals and backgrounds are heard on MTV’s “Road Rules”, TBS Superstation, HBO, and others. He also collaborates with other songwriters and producers.

'Vacation Time' and 'You Know Me' progressively get down and dirty while 'Kid of the Night' simply slams in with blasting guitars. The song lyrics are crafted brilliantly with thought-capturing hooks. The energy level on 'Smolderin Fire', 'What is Love' and 'Temporary Tease' can make even the most avid couch potatos groove to the hard-hitting drives that leave everlasting impressions. While 'Big Bright Car' may mellow out a bit, it paints an accurate picture of what most of us dream of. 'No Diamonds' (the title track from one of Dave Steven's previous releases) crosses the lines of classic rock, punk and country. The outcome of this CD is argumentatively positive."
