I like listening to a variety of styles. For instance, I have tunes by Al Jarreau, Los Lonely Boys, Stevie Wonder, Jason Mraz, Rick Derringer, John Mayer, Squeeze, and others on my MP3 player. The bassists I really pay attention to are Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Abraham Laboriel, to name a few.
