I am starting all over musically, and this is how I feel. Instead of jazz improv, which I love, I wanted to dive into the most difficult thing of all. Write good songs.
Do you play live?
I like to do one off improv gigs with my friends. I also play with John Vs. the Jukebox from time to time. Now I want to devote most of my time to Caroline Wheel.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Hope it gets the music out there for people to enjoy, and gets me a job.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Shure, why not.
Your influences?
The Shins, MMW, Flaming Lips, Radoihead, The Beatles, Phish, Ben Kweller, Frank Zappa, Ween...stuff like that.
Favorite spot?
I like my home in Kansas City.
