I'm just a solo artist who had to give up playing after 3O years as a full time musician. It's almost 15 years ago since I stopped due to arthritis in my hands. I started playing again for my own enjoyment earlier this year
Do you play live?
I don't play out and about at all now
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's a great idea as long as it doesn't get abused by those making a dishonest profit/ It makes music much more widely available to everybody.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I doubt If I would as I'd hate the stress that would go with it.
Never made my fortune, but it kept myself & my family fed and our rent paid.
Jim Halcrow from Shetland's one of the best accordionists I've heard and also an old friend. Iain Macphail & his band from Edinburgh is one of my favourite Scottish bands
Sitting at a quiet spot by the shores of Loch Duich in Western Scotland. So peaceful
