C Nation consist's of three local Twin City MC's, G, NASN, IKON and the 5-10 brother boy's that we kick it with week in, week out. We have been a unit for about a year now and have received huge support from the local youth and public wanting to know who we are and what we do. All three MC's are talented artist's hailing their own unique style and vocab from their experience's growing up in the Twin Citie's (Townsville / Thuringowa) North Queensland.
Why this name?
Calibur is an exaggerated version of Calibre, a gun chamber (calibre) has 6 rounds and initially we wanted to associate each of these with an extreme sport or urban activity, So e.g. every Element of (Water sports), wake boarding,surfing etc.. (Hip-Hop), Graff,B-Boy,MC,DJ etc..(Car sports)..(Air Sports), Base,Bunji..(Snow) and (Dry land), Skating,BMX,MX etc. Taking this into account we decided if all this could be put into one thing it could be a whole nation of extreme and urban madness!! so CALIBUR NATION was born.
Do you play live?
We have performed live on stage although some stuff doesnt come out as expected when rehearsed it's still a huge adrenaline rush when you have a hundred or so hardcore hiphop head's moving to something you created.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Creates loop holes for artist's work to be moved around without their consent in alot of case's??
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Would a major label sign C Nation?
