Karma Natural is a newly formed acoustic band featuring a veteran female singer/song-writer, Miriam. Her eclectic variety of songs includes those of folk, traditional, and blues. Jud adds his inspiring mandolin leads to accentuate her dramatic and emotional song writing talent. A very original artist from Nepal, Karma, deepens the sounds with his exotic drumming technique. A versatile musician from Japan, Jun, contributes his talent and experience on bass. This new and unique group, Karma Natural, takes the folk music to the next level.

We are a new band and currently booking our first gig at a few coffee shops around the Twin Cities.
Band History:
The members of Karma Natural come from unique backgrounds.
The lead vocalist/guitar player Miriam has been active in the folk/blues community for a long time. She has performed in various venues in the Twin Cities including Fine Line Cafe and Jitters. Miriam writes most of the songs played by the band. She is the center piece for the sound of Karma Natural.
Jud, Miriam’s husband, has been playing mandolin for Miriam and for other projects for years. His deep interest to the history of American music is admired by all members of the band. Jud, who is an established mandolin player, contributes his outstanding musical skill and talent to the sound of Karma Natural.
Karma is our percussionist from Nepal. This mysterious figure has brought in the United States by a wealthy older woman. He carries wide range of interest in art. He has is own Asian hip-hop unit and performs his drum at Global Market often with some other artists. He is also a DJ for night clubs. His unique talent gives interesting twists to the sound of Karma Natural.
Jun is a versatile and experienced bass player. He has played with dozens of bands playing rock, pop, jazz, blues, and folk at various levels. After moving from Japan to the US in late 1990s, he has joined a couple of acoustic bands playing at various coffee shops such as Dunn Brothers, Caribou Coffee, and other local venues. He provides the rhythm foundation and groove to the sound of Karma Natural.
