Astral is the current alias of Phil Beecher who has been producing electronic music for the last 7 years. After experimenting with various sounds and styles through his ealier label Temporal (featured on this site) he decided to create a new label for himself to go with his new style and tracks.
Why this name?
I've always been interested in space and the stars and Astral just sounded nice as well.
Do you play live?
Would love to play live, that would be amazing, special moments, well concerts I've played in and watched and when I'm composing and something just comes to me.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Makes it more accesible to ametuers rather than just limiting it to professionals.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Definitly given the option.
Band History:
Event Horizon 2000-2004
-Tracks: Icescape, Au Bord de la Mar, Utopia, Shockwave

Temporal 2004-2006
-Tracks: Hypermetrical, Ariel, Tranceistion, Terrafirma, G4

Astral 2006-present
-Tracks: Vault, Flashpoint, Vault (2006 remake), Fusion
Your influences?
Pretty much everything I've ever listened to has had some sort of influence on me, but most notable are: Push, 4 Strings, Ian Van Dahl, Ferry Corsten, DJ Tiesto, Lasgo, Armin van Buuren, Binary Finary, the list is endless really
Favorite spot?
Nottingham
Equipment used:
Cubase, on board sound card, VSTi's are the most important for making quality sounding music I use mainly- Albino, Vanguard, Embracer and LM-7 for Drum machine, and Adobe Audition for making it sound nice.
Anything else...?
My Station 'Trance Vault' has a great collection on Trance and Dance music and is currently 5th on the most list of most listened to Trance Stations, check it out!
