Minus One Flag
NEWS   The Where Truth Lies EP is still trapped in limbo. I have no idea when that's going to be completed.

I have a new project called Convolution in the works at the minute.
It's a 2 song concept piece.

It'll be done very soon. Patience.

Haven't updated in a long time.

Convolution piece is almost done.
Closed Minds is turning out to be a beast of a track.
Open Eyes will be re-recorded to go with this.
Tale Of Torn Flags re-write underway.
No Contact is up in the air at the minute. Not happy with it.
3 other tracks underway.

All of these are going to be release from September onwards.
New amp
New guitar
New vocal mic
New drum program.
New ideas and ideals

New Minus One Flag.
Why this name?
It's not so much a political statement as a personal one.

It refers to tearing down the old and putting up the new.
It's about the idea of removing a commonly held viewpoint or representation and trying something different.
Do you play live?
Not yet, but maybe some day.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's a good thing. With sites such as this, garageband, myspace, et all, artists can get their music heard by a large audience easily.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As long as I got full creative control, yes.
Band History:
The project started in September 2006.

I had a lot of spare ideas going around that didn't really fit with the band I was in at the time.
Your influences?
Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Jeff Buckley, Opeth, Dredg, lots of Post-Rock and Post-Metal bands such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Isis, Pelican, Red Sparrowes, Trip-Hop..
Favorite spot?
Penzance and London.
Equipment used:
I play a basic Les Paul copy through a Pod XT. I record with my Pod XT direct into KRISTAL Audio Engine.
I do all my drums with Acoustica Beatcraft with the samples included with that and some stuff from Drumkit From Hell 1.
I record vocals with an SM57 going through a Yamaha UW500 interface.

I mix it all in KRISTAL Audio Engine
Anything else...?
Now that coursework is completely out of the way, I have a lot more time to write.
Expect a lot of new material soon.
