British Columbia based Rhone joined by FuzzBuster57 and sometime DJ Jack Rory throw synth-string and pad washes against pounding electro beats (ambient and trip hop).
Why this name?
"Tripudio" means "dance" in Latin.
Do you play live?
Rarely of late.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Music is everywhere. Sample what you want. Get what you love. Don't just go for what the man tells you.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure.
Band History:
Rhone started as a DJ and solo synth artist in Toronto 1990. A few years later he moved to Edinburgh where he moved between that city, Glasgow and London, laying down tracks in the cities' hard core clubs and attending the rave scene. At a rave he met DJ Rory and Mark Lewis, aka FuzzBuster57. The three started performing synth and drum machine live sets under the stage name "Tripudio". On May 17, 1998, FuzzBuster57 was glassed in the eye by a bottle thrown by a drunken fan. He lost the eye and refused to perform live, afraid of "the fans". The band switched primarily to recording their works, and selling tracks to DJs. In 2000 Rhone moved to British Columbia, continuing occasionally to record using FL Studio and his beaten down Roland D-5, still using the name "Tripudio". FuzzBuster57 is reportedly living on the streets of London. DJ Rory continues to spin records throughout the UK.
