What happens when a classically trained violinist gets his hands on an electronic violin? You might be surprised . . .

I'm putting samples of my work in places like SoundClick to network with other musicians. That might lead to collaborations and who knows how much more?

Why this name?
Violectric - seemed better than the runner up: "Electrofiddlizer"
Do you play live?
Only played a few public gigs so far. Quite different from playing in a chamber orchestra!

Do I like it? Absolutely - nice to just have fun and cut loose.
Your influences?
I grew playing classical, so that was huge. First stumbled on electric violins through Nigel Kennedy (the album "Kafka"). I also really enjoy the flamenco / eastern style of Jesse Cooke, and the work of his violinist: Chris Church.

Equipment used:
Currently I am playing an original hand made electric violin.
Anything else...?
Like many cross-over (from classical) musicians, I am very attracted to improvising. So that is something I am really exploring . . .
