Kill To Gain is a dynamic punk metal band based in Eastburn, West Yorkshire.
Why this name?
We were called 'Fade To Black', and when booking gigs people would ask if we were a Metallica tribute band, which we are not. We were thinking about a new name when we wrote one of our songs, entitled 'Kill To Gain' and we all then decided that would be our name. Quite simple really.
Do you play live?
We play all over the Yorkshire region, looking to tour all the time.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
A lot of people download songs rather than buy them from the shops, but we still believe that the proper fans will buy music from their local music store.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. We have already turned down a record deal.
Band History:
Formed from the ashes of Fade To Black, "Kill To Gain"is a band on a mission. We aim to fuse the best of punk and metal into one genre, where you can have catchy songs mixed with bone crunching heavy riffs, and blistering solos. The official birth of the band was in february 2006, and since then we have accomplished quite alot in a short time. with departure of old members and the additions of new ones, kill to gain have a new passion for writing and playing to the best of their ability. Every song is written like it could be the last, so each one is as full of power and ability as we can make it.We now go, from the shadows of eastburn, to take on the world.........
Your influences?
The band's influences consist of a number of different style bands, of which all have amazing music.
Here are a few of these bands: The Offspring, Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, Trivium, Bullet for my Valentine, Rancid, Sum 41 & Green Day.
