Reuben Jones fuses spoken-word poetry, funk, soul, r&b, the blues, hip-hop and jazz to create a new urban sound called "Spoken Soul". Raw, gritty, contemporary music driven by experiences with a spiritual essence and a cultural significance.

"THE WOMB" @ North By Northwest (7165 Germantown Ave.)every 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm. ($10 cover charge). Philly's premiere spoken-word showcase that features up and coming artists, an open mic, and the Mid-Atlantic Poetry Slam.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Makes music more accessible to the public rather than the large conglomerates hording it all for capitalistic greed. It also allows the artist to take his destiny into his own hands and not be pimped by the music industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
