Hi! we're City in Ruins and we love you, ignore our other soundclick account, Rob made that and we cant delete it! so this is a new one! :)
Why this name?
We went through alot of band names at the start, this 1 was suggested after watching "Battle Royale", and it stuck....basically
Do you play live?
Yes, we play live all the time, local and not local, anywhere that will let us play really.
We love playing live, special moments is every gig when people cheer wether its 100s or just a couple its always nice to be appreciated.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes it so much easier for artists to get their music heard on a global scale, so it has definately changed it for the better.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
....duh, of course
Band History:
City in Ruins have been brewing up a storm since meeting for the first time in late 2005, a culmination of the elements of the deceased Rogue Faction and Blacktop Fridays. Immediately clicking, near enough completing the song 'They're Coming For You Barbara' in the first practice. their first demo is near completion and sounding infinitely more mature than anything they have created in the past, City In Ruins then spent some time preparing songs, and growing pretty close and began gigging the local scene in Jan '06, with a great reception. Recently, thanks to the bargain of a 450 quid van (!!!) They have began to branch out and win the hearts and minds of people all around the Midlands area, Now City in Ruins are in the midst of booking a full U.K tour! Check out the tunes and leave a comment with what you think. "We believe that when you go to see a band, you go to see the band play, not just hear their music. We specialise in putting on the most energetic show you'll ever see, and one that'll stick in your mind like a wellie in a muddy puddle".
