SoundClick artist: Vikash Poye - Blending the sound of smooth R&B and Pop

A 23 year old singer with music that can be classed as a blend of pop music with smooth R&B vocals.

I like to compose in many different styles and am currently experimenting with R&B compositions.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

There's a lot of talent out there and this is just one step closer to discovering them.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes definately...I need help with producing a professional sounding song. All my work so far has been recorded at home, using standard low-budget equipment.

Your influences?

My main musical influences have been Bryan Adams,Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, David Gray..and more recently...Usher and Craig David for my R&B influences.

Equipment used:

For my acoustic songs, I use an Ibanez Talman electro-acoustic guitar.

I'm using a budget Squire Telecastor for my electric guitar work ;-)

Effects of the guitar go through a Korg Toneworks pedal and finally, I use a Roland Midi keyboard for backing synths and piano sounds.
