New Stones
A one-man project. Basically an experimental adventure with collaborations and such
Why this name?
Not sure, just popped into head
Do you play live?
Hopefully when more musicians join, there will be the opportunity for live dates. Sign up for mailing list to get up-to-date information!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's fantastic for getting new fans or spreading new genres. But it has to be regulated in a way that only a few songs from each artist are uploaded, so the artist and record label aren't robbed!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
of course, I'd prefer an underground label though
Your influences?
Arab Strap's earlier stuff, with Sonic Youth's newer stuff (Murray Street) and of course Mogwai. A hint of something arabian too apparently. Listen for yourself!
Favorite spot?
At the moment, London or Jersey. Edinburgh is also nice!
