Greetings, this is three-piece alternative rock band Ensuing Silence. We like to rock socks off. So if you want your socks rocked off, check out our tunes.
Do you play live?
We play live all the time. Check our myspace for live show listings. We're well known for our intensity on the stage.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's all about sharing music, and the interent makes it quick and easy to do this. It's a great way for people to test out new music, and broaden their musical tastes.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Absolutely.
Band History:
Ensuing Silence has been said to be “the most exciting up and coming act in the Canadian underground scene,” and “a sonic assault on the senses.” This three-piece band isn’t really “based” per se, instead they are more like nomads, setting up camp wherever there is enough electricity to power their amps.
It all began in 2003 when Lee Aldridge (guitar/vocals) and Chris Fleming (bass) crossed paths and decided to start jamming. They played together with various musicians, at times playing as a three-piece, other times as a four-piece band. Indeed, Ensuing Silence had to endure some serious growing pains, going through several line up changes, including four drummers and a guitarist. Despite the difficulties, Lee and Chris persevered, playing numerous shows throughout southern Ontario. They managed to record a five-song EP at OneStar Studios in Barrie in February 2004, and an independent seven-song album in 2005 – which has generated much acclaim.
In January 2006, Bob Little joined the band; finally Lee and Chris’ search for the right drummer was complete. After their first jam with Bob, they knew immediately that this new form of ES was here to stay. Currently the band is building serious momentum, writing a slew of new songs, recording, playing shows, and plotting world domination.
