The tracks for the Other Side project came about thanks to a bout of writers block. Id been writing a new batch of songs since the turn of the year (2006) without any problems and then in July I hit a brick wall. Melodies werent the problem, it was lyrics. I had suddenly run out of things to say. So I decided to put the unfinished songs to one side for the time being and embark on an instrumental album instead.. Ive been wanting to do one for some years now but just never got round to it. So, equipped with some royalty free samples, some recording software, a keyboard, guitar ,and a few effects thrown in for good measure, I began . The result was "White Noise". A CD of 10 experimental (well experimental for me anyway) tracks that may (or may not) raise a few eye brows. I had Supernova in my head for a while, but tracks like Peace Of Mind, White Noise, Voices In My Head & Paradise Found were more or less composed as they were being recorded. While tracks like Fall Away & Holding On feature left over riffs and The Last One is a relatively new piece of music that , for the life of me, I cant come up with any words. A few quick thanks you if I may. Firstly,Tom Eveleigh plays guitar and piano on both Supernova & Jam. So a nod to you Tom if youre reading this. Also thanks to the tallent that is Leigh Griffiths, who did the artwork for the CD. Well I think thats quite enough from me for a while, I hope you enjoy the tracks all comments are welcome positive or negative ( so long as its constructive)
