NAXXY
Uganda's new gospel sensation. His new album "Tumpatee Sifa" is to hit the airwaves early this March. He sings about the Fight of H.I.V, Kids on the streets, the love of God and has a new direction of gospel music on this planet. He's a producer at FishNet Records in Kampala, singer and songwriter. Why this name?
Am a born-again singer, producer/engineer and love serving the Lord. The one i serve is the daddy of all skills i need for my production yet He says we have to be heads and not tails. So He gives me the Skills and i become the head and not the tail. If i am the Head that means that I am the Daddy hence DADDY SKILLS.
Do you play live?
The guitar is my favorite and it has to be by my side every time i am ministering, even on the street we are together.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I guess if it were not by internet, you wouldn't have found me and i wouldn't have found you. So it helps to expose serious artists and producers who are ready to make a change in this industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would if the terms and conditions are favorable.
Band History:
I was discovered by Isaac Rucci, of the former Limitx group, also CEO of Fishnext Groupe in 2004.
I was working in an Internet cafe and used to do my tracks only on PC. I joined Fishnext Records as an intern and the Lord touched me and improved my production skills.
Now artists like Sauti, Wogs, Gulu Children's Choir, Angella Katatumba, Kawesa, Still Above, Michael Ross, Miriam Alony...each has a hit on air from my production
