How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet and free servers such as this one provide a platform for artists (of which there are millions, who also have so many more oportunites these days to have their music digitally recorded in hi quality than ever) to expose themselves. This platform is a good thing. Great music will continue to imerge and the net will help it take everyone by suprise. Mp3s change the industry by their versatility including the ability to download and put to CD or Ipod thingy. This is all a good.
