I have just released a new CD, "Nice & Easy" which is available at CD Baby. Come on by and check it out.
Although I work with a couple of dance bands a few nights each week, the music here is mainly my own efforts written and recorded at home. I enjoy writing instrumental music based around the guitar, and also try my hand at a few vocal songs now and then. Usually my vocal songs are of a soft rock, country, easy listening variety. If there's any of them that you would like to sing, feel free to do so. I don't consider myself a singer. My first love is the guitar and writing for it. I have a couple of instrumental guitar CD's for sale at cdbaby and itunes. I also am a public school teacher and teach guitar lessons at a local music store in Lawton, Oklahoma. Music is my mantra! Thanks for listening.
Do you play live?
I play live 3-4 nights a week. I play with a couple of different dance bands in Oklahoma and Texas. I love playing in an ensemble and being able to interact with other players. Most Friday and Sunday evenings, I play with a band at the Rock Island Club in Porter Hill, OK and on Saturday I work at the Texas Nite Life in Wichita Falls, Texas. I also play jazz guitar on some Wednesday nights at a local resturant in Lawton called "Rinies"
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has given the independent artist a forum to display their works. I think it's great.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Depends.
Band History:
I've been playing guitar in bands since I was 12 years old. I also have been working with recording gear since my early teens. Anyone remember the old Tascam 3340 hah! I love how easy it is now to get your ideas down quickly without a whole room full of gear.
Your influences?
Everything I've heard and liked through the years. Instrumental smooth jazz/easy listening as well as country, blues and rock.
Equipment used:
I have been using Roland gear primarily for recording-just recently bought the 2480. I play guitar, bass, keyboards, drums a little banjo and try to sing once in a while.
