The Coro Basilica de Malolos (formerly known as the Cathedral Choir of Malolos) was founded on September 1976 by the late Ms. Ely Torralba. The group, now on its 30th year, garnered several awards and recognitions in choral music.
Why this name?
The group's name is derived from our place of service - the Basilica Minore of the Immaculate Conception in Malolos, Bulacan.
Do you play live?
Yes, we play live. We usually sing at the Basilica Minore of the Immaculate Conception's Sunday Mass at 5pm. We also sing in weddings and concerts. Special moments? Recently, we have recorded songs from GMA7's Encantadia and the upcoming series, Atlantica.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, anybody can hear your music, you can share them, as well!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
None.
