Thousands flee Space City as Neomorphic Giant rumored to be in vicinity!

Introduction:
Neomorphic Giant is the musical creation of professional illustrator SciFiArtMan. The sounds on these pages are a direct result of various sonic experiments in my new audio laboratory. Although greatly influenced by artists in the Progressive Rock arena, these musical creations do not strive to live only in that sphere and may at anytime venture into any form or style that comes across the frontal lobe of the composer - from soundtracks, to fusion, to pop, to ambient, to experimental, and beyond. The main goal is to express feelings and desires, dreams and fantasies through the careful mixing and control of selected vibrations in the audio spectrum. Hopefully these experiments will be found to be successful and a smile is brought to the listener's soul.

Who's Playing on These Tracks:
All sounds, composition, performance, programming, production, illustration and stories by SciFiArtMan. You were expecting a big brass band!?

A Brief History:
Neomorphic Giant was brought to life in the late summer of 2006. The composer has spent a lifetime in the music field playing bass guitar professionally for over 20 years, working with many legendary and Grammy-winning rock and fusion artists during that time. But this is the dawn of a new focus on other instruments and new ways of expressing the music that stirs the soul and excites the heart.

Musical Influences:
Classic Yes, classic Genesis, Camel, UK, FM, Kayak, Gentle Giant, ELP, PFM, Jean Michel Jarre, Andres Vollenweider, Ultravox, Devo, Oingo Boingo, Lene Lovich, Bruce Woolley, New Musik, Art of Noise, Yello, Thomas Dolby, Steve Hackett, Liquid Tension Experiment, Souxsie and the Banshees, Tony Mansfield, Danny Elfman, Bernard Herrmann, Jerry Goldsmith, Nino Rota - I'd list more but everyone stopped reading this after ELP :)

About the Music:
These songs are reflections of various inspirations and visions that come the composer in a variety of ways. One thing they all tend to share is a vision of the future. Even songs that may initially seem to be pulled from the past are really an image of how I see the music of tomorrow, a future that has learned well from previous masters. I realize it is often an acquired taste, but one that I hope you will find at least moderately palatable.

Closing Thoughts:
Thank you for taking the time to listen to music that comes from my mind and heart and is an extension of my soul. I hope you will enjoy these tracks and I invite you to leave a brief message on my Message Board, so I'll know who has been here and how they found the experience. If you are an artist, be sure to include your music page link so I can sample your artistry as well. Thank you.
