I'm primarily a songwriter, A member of BMI for many years. I have a deep love for traditional country music and songs with lyrics that make sense and have beautiful melodies and words that move the emotions. I have been writing since 1986 when I visited Hawaii and fell in love with the beauty of the islands. I came home and wrote my first song which I called "Isle of Endless Summer". The bug bit me very hard and I have been writing ever since. I have had a couple of Indie Record cuts but I'm always looking for more. I hope you'll like my songs.
Why this name?
That's my name.
Do you play live?
I started out playing with a country group called the " Country Kin" and then as a solo act but have retired from performing to devote my time exclusively to song writing and of course my family.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's probably one of the best opportunities for Artists, Bands and Songwriters to find receptive "ears". It may well revolutionize the music industry and bring about needed changes.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not a record contract but I would be happy to sign a publishing contract if one was offered.
Your influences?
Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Tammy Wynette, George Jones
Equipment used:
Yamaha 5700 Keyboard, Band-In-A-Box Accompaniment Program on a Laptop Computer. It's a great songwriting tool too.
