I produce mostly hip-hop but I like to experiment and sometimes my experimental music sounds more like alternative stuff.
I do most of my beats on the MPC 1000 but I also use Reason 3.0 occasionally.

Why this name?
I always liked the singer, Musiq. He has an album and a song called "Soulstar". I really felt that song. I felt like the woman singing on it was speaking to me. So I adopted the title of that song as my name.
Do you play live?
I DJ live in clubs, bars, etc. Mainly in Baltimore, MD but I travel to NY occasionally for a gig.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Digital music has made music more interactive and accessible to music lovers. It's good for music overall. It has the negative side of illegal downloads and copyright violations but I think the positives outweigh the negatives.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes
