"All I need is the melody." Singer/Songwriter Theo proclaims that the melody is what drives his love for music. Theo, who resides in a small suburban town outside of Houston, has been singing since the age of 3 and writing since the age of 8. Listen to his music and you would agree with everyone else... that this 20 year old R&B Soulster writes and sings music that is so believable that even if you can't relate, you somehow find yourself wanting to. Keep an eye out for Theo. The world is not ready for what he is stirring up.
Why this name?
Theo is my birthname. Even though people joke about it all th etime, the truth is that I was named after The Cosby Show.
Do you play live?
I haven't started performing my own material live yet I'm just finishing up the album so the live appearances are soon to come. Very soon to come.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet has allowed many artists in today's industry get a good buzz and get their name out without being signed to a major record label. It's amazing, many artists are actually getting paid in the industry without having any industry connections.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Your influences?
My tastes are very ecclectic. I am influenced by anything that feels good. I love oldies because of the strong and memorable melodies and I love much of today's hiphop music because most of the beats have the ability to enhance any emotion. I love the desparation in soul music. The subtlty in jazz music. The dramatisism in rock. And the truth in alternative. I truly am inspired by music... period.
Favorite spot?
I love New York and plan on moving there after I graduate Berklee in '08.
Equipment used:
I sing. But in the studio, I work on protools software... always.

I am a junior at Berklee College of Music in Boston and I am majoring in Music Business Management.
