PostmorteM is a horrorcore/hiphop group formed by Rapidfire & SmokaJoka.

Fun Fact #1: PostmorteM likes to rap about dead shit.

Fun Fact #2: Rapid likes to rap about drugs.

Fun Fact #3: Smoka has killed Rapid approximately 12 times in songs.

Fun Fact #4: Some artists find it impossible to record with PostmorteM because the smoke in the studio is so harsh.
Why this name?
It sounded cool.
Do you play live?
We play live. We've played everywhere from night clubs to the gathering to a lame hippie festival on a mountani. There's nothing better than doing a show.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Rapid:
The internet has helped in a lot of ways, such as allowing artists to promote their music much easier. It's also helped because it's a quick and easy place to order musical equipment, download software, and find production.

The downside is that EVERYBODY and their f***ing mom puts music on the internet these days, and it's basically become habit to ignore their advertisements. This means that you have to do something to get attention, and that means that a lot of good music goes unheard.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Who wouldn't? PostmorteM would NEVER sign with a record label without carefully reading over the contract and bargaining for the best deal possible, but that's just good business.
Band History:
PostmorteM started officially in 2003 as a group with 3 members (Rapidfire, SmokaJoka, and Dank The Fallen). The 3 recorded an EP entitled "The Graveyard Shift" and released it as an online exclusive in 2004. Also in 2004, the group recorded a track entitled "Demonize" for Dank The Fallen's "The Secular Passage" Album, which was released in 2005.

After the release of "The Secular Passage", Dank officially left the group in good terms for his own personal reasons. Rapid & Smoka kept recording songs however, and in June of 2006 they released a free EP at the Gathering of the Juggalos. This EP was also called "The Graveyard Shift" and featured re-recordings of some of the original songs (minus Dank), and also featured some brand new songs.

In late 2006, PostmorteM began working on the "Nightstalkers" album. It was originally scheduled for a June 2007 release date, but has since been delayed. As a reward for fans being so patient with the album delays, PostmorteM decided to release the "Nightstalkers" album as a free Internet download in February 2008.

In 2009, PostmorteM will release a new EP.
Your influences?
ICP, Twiztid, Tech N9ne, Esham, NATAS, Eminem, Brotha Lynch Hung, Slipknot, KoRn, and a huge list of others.
Favorite spot?
Columbus, Ohio was by far our favorite place we've visited. We ran into a guy that smoked us out with some Purple Haze. Didn't know him at all, he just wanted someone to smoke with, so we obliged! Yep, Columbus was a fun place indeed.
Equipment used:
The mechanically altered robot left hand that I have. It has a built in microphone and we can mix by thinking about it really hard. It's f***ing dope
