Welcome to the Soundclick page for DjJungle!
Why this name?
Oh boy...the name DjJungle...um...well...it involves 2 cheerleaders and a can of whip cream...need I say more!?!?! Just kidding...I had a supervisor that complained about the classic rock bands I listen to and he kept calling it "damned jungle music"(we listened to Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Skynyrd, etc.). My first DJ company was called "Jungle Music Productions"...hence how I got the name "Jungle"...added DJ to it somewhere in the late 90's...
Do you play live?
I've taken a break from djing at clubs/bars, but I've dj'ed at weddings and other private/corporate events over the last 17 years. I've had a lot of great times in those years so it's hard to just pick one or two that stand out the most. Probably would just bore you to death anyway...LOL!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it's made it much easier to get your band/artist name & music out there for people to hear. And shopping for music online(legal or not), is easier because sometimes...there's only ONE good song on a cd. Why pay $$$ for one song when you can buy/download just that one?
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I don't know about that. After all the b/s that's come out about labels, how artists/songwriters/bands are really treated by them...probably not...unless things change dramatically, but I don't see that happening.
Band History:
My history? Do you really want to read that? Are you actually reading all this?????
Your influences?
Everything from techno/trance groups & artists like Darude & Faithless to rock artists like Pink Floyd & Nine Inch Nails to pop artists like Sarah Mclachlan and Jewel.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot? I have a couple of 'em. My front porch(for relaxing), and Lou's Riverview in Jefferson WI...nice bar, very relaxed...good music off the jukebox. Cute bartenders. People are pretty decent that come out there...good place.
Equipment used:
For DJing, I use Grundorf speakers, Pioneer CD players, Numark mixers,
In the studio...my pc is loaded with Acid software with a TON of loops as well
Anything else...?
