ALAS
Crisalida is a Chilean progressive Rock Band, formed in 1998. That same year, the band records their first EP. Their songs were broadcasted in radio stations, and through live gigs the band began to grow a name in the Chilean rock scene. The band took a break between 2000 and 2003. in 2004, the band reunites and start working in their new album. This album, titled "CRISALIDA", contains 11 songs and was recorded
at the beginning of year 2006 in TARKUS studios (Santiago, Chile) and is avalaible since august 25th, 2006.

Why this name?
Crisalida is the name of the cocoon in which the caterpillars mutan
before becoming butterflies. The concept is ample and it is related to
changes and mutations that are experienced at all level. Specially in
the life stages that we experimented.

Do you play live?
We played live 2 to 3 times a the month in local well known venues, both in Santiago (Capital City) and provinces. All the places we have played have been special, but in individual we enjoyed much the gig
in the city of Conception for 600 people, where the audicence was mostly kids, and they had a great feedback with us.

Your influences?
We are influenced by different bands and solistas that they enchant to
us like Queen, Dead Can Dances, Pedro Aznar, Dream Theater, Iron
Maiden, etc.
