HA! SoR has some t-shirts. Though, obviously painted by hand, these will help raise funds to buy better t-shirts and other stuff for you guys and girls to enjoy. They're only £6 and every shirt is made with love. Don't forget to buy a CD with it.

|| son of robot is a unique, performance based electronic DJ from cornwall. to best describe what son of robot sounds like, it's like having your favourite drum beat, stuck through a nintendo, along with some old skool synths, and topped with some lush melodies and head poppin' bass lines.
|| upon the release of the new ep, "learn to dance," son of robot strives to achieve a new performance level with just a single member, without becoming an acoustic band! so look out for some glockenspiel action, head butting solo's and some extremely 80's dancing.

Why this name?
I just sort of came round to it... everyone wants to be the daddy robot, might as well be the son!
Do you play live?
Yes i play live! I play around cornwall, but am off to bath, so hopefully they'll be new oppertunities there. I love performing live as long as i'm performing for the right crowd really. I think a special Son of Robot moment was having a head butting solo on the keyboard...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It makes music more accessible to anyone who knows how to download mp3's. Other than the loss of certain frequencies when compressed to mp3, i also feel that people aren't supporting the music industy. Yet people are so against this industy, when we need someone to buy the CD's still so they can expose and sign new bands... otherwise we'll have bands chasing labels for the rest of their lifes wondering why labels can't afford to take on new bands!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It would be awesome to sign with a major, but there's so many flaws with a major deal that i think i would be playing at it rather being serious about it. And that's what Son of Robot is at the end of the day, just one big piss take.
Band History:
Son of Robot aka Scott Coello, originally came from the alternative rock outfit, The Circadian, which was a offshoot from previous band, Eat More People. Now with a change of direction Scott wants to have fun and hopefulyl entertain people in the same way with his music.
Your influences?
Anything really, i like some hip-hop (crunk is killing the scene though), there's a few electronic groups i like (mainly leftfield and AFX because of the musicianship behind the music), 8 bit musicians are much appreciated like nullsoft. And coming from a rock background i obviusly like, you guessed it, rock music.
Favorite spot?
Falmouth is pretty awesome.
Equipment used:
Currently a crappy old laptop, running ableton live and reason. M-Audio keyboard. Cheap glockenspiel set. Numark TT1650. Reloop scratch mixer. Kazoo. Samplers. Cicuit bent toys. Occasionally a gameboy.
Anything else...?
